Are you tired of struggling in silence while everyone around you does the same?
Are there parts of yourself you never talk about because you’re afraid of being stigmatized?
Are you sometimes a little afraid of what goes on in your own head?
You’re not alone.
Join Christina, Lauren, and guests as they attempt to break down stigma and maybe laugh at themselves along the way.

Meet Your Cohosts
Growing up the oldest of 7 as an evangelical homeschooler, normal has never been in Christina’s vocabulary. She started Pickles and Vodka by herself in 2018 after another relapse left her wishing for a platform where she could talk about her struggles with addiction and eating disorders without falling into the self-help trap.
When she isn’t podcasting, Christina is a memoir writer and artist. She lives in Virginia with two cats and existential dread.
Lauren may be a newer addition to Pickles and Vodka, but she is no stranger to the insanity! A lifelong sufferer of depression, anxiety, and anorexia, she didn’t go to treatment until the age of 35, which she chronicles in episode #44 (The Most Popular Girl in the Psych Ward). Now in her early 40s, Lauren focuses on harm reduction and advocacy. She has been in four bands, has an affinity for poop jokes, and lives in St. Louis with her beloved dog, Pico.
